Ok, no more literature to bore you with, I promise! Just my thoughts on nuclear power which have dominated the Presidential debates.
In the past few decades, the inevitability of the complete depletion of our planet's oil is being fully realized. Subsequently, nations around the world are working towards declaring the bona fide replacement for oil. Solar energy, wind power, and nuclear power are all among the most effective choices that are being deeply researched to calculate the exact "pros and cons" of each alternative. The movement to replace oil is a worldwide movement, and as such every dollar and social sacrifice that is needed will be calculated. Therefore, the fact that solar energy will require unsightly and frequent solar panel stations is a major consideration before equipping every country with it. And before we build nuclear power plants everywhere, the fact that now every region will have an abundance of nuclear material which would fall into the wrong hands must be considered.
